About Me

Who is Gohar Khan?

I'm an educational creator and MIT grad on a mission to help students succeed inside and outside of school. Since mid-2021, I've been posting study tips, college application advice, and life hacks on social media, leveraging playful storytelling to amass an audience of 10M+ followers.

Drawing on my experiences as a first-generation student, I also co-founded Next Admit, an admissions consulting firm helping high school seniors apply to college.

My Story

1999

CS since day one

I've been inspired by tech since a very young age. I learned to code at 11 years old and have been building websites and web apps ever since!

2017

Ivy Day

In high school, I dedicated all my energy towards my academics. I graduated as valedictorian and got into six Ivies, Stanford, and MIT.

2020

The start of Gohar's Guide

During my COVID semester in college, I took to social media to share some of my college admissions advice and also co-founded Next Admit.

2021

Goodbye MIT

I graduated from MIT with a double major in CS, Econ, and Data Science, as well as Business Analytics.

Today

The future of edutainment

Gohar's Guide is now one of the largest edutainment brands in the world, and it's all thanks to YOUR support. I'm excited for the future!
